We signed my 16-year-old daughter up for 3 behind-the-wheel lessons with Instructor Gabriel mainly to qualify for the insurance discount that requires private driving lessons. She already had a good amount of supervised practice and wasn’t nervous at all, so we were looking for an instructor who could efficiently polish her skills and prepare her for the DMV road test.
Gabriel was excellent. He was very patient and kind the entire time, even though my daughter was already fairly confident. He focused on the areas that matter most for the test and for safe driving. He spent some time working on parallel parking, took her driving on the interstate, and gave her plenty of additional parking practice in different situations.
I really liked that after each lesson he provided a written summary of the skills they practiced and specific items she should continue focusing on. It was professional and helpful.
Because of Gabriel’s instruction, my daughter felt even more prepared and passed her DMV test without any issues. The lessons were exactly what we needed to meet the insurance company’s requirements while getting quality professional training.
I would highly recommend this driving academy and especially Instructor Gabriel to other parents. He’s a great instructor who tailors his approach to the student’s level.

I was honestly not a confident driver after I had gotten my permit.But as soon as I started doing lessons with Ed who is one of the driving instructors, I gained a huge amount of confidence, because of him I passed the driving test. Definitely recommend!

I needed to learn how to drive in the United States. I already knew how to drive in the Philippines, but I saw that it was very different driving here in Florida. I found Alafia Driving Academy online and scheduled Mr. Ed Renneckar as my driving instructor. Lots of new rules and laws to learn for driving here in Florida. Mr. Ed made it easy explaining everything. He has great visual aides that helped me understand more rules of the road. He was very patient working with me from the first lesson until I was ready for my driving test. I passed the first time and now I have my own car. I couldn’t have done it without Alafia Driving Academy and Mr. Ed.
